Abstract:
We distinguish two approaches under which hypertext literature writers can consider the practice of writing. We name them formal approach and pragmatic approach. The formal approach is defined with respect to formal models of hypertext. The pragmatic approach is characterised by the use and appropriation by the writer of technological tools. We discuss the position of hypertext writers with respect to the evolution of computer technologies, especially the World Wide Web.
